We cover anywhere in London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Essex and Berkshire.

Where are you based?

Our offices are based in Hackney in London but our entertainers & staff are based all over London and the  surrounded areas.

Is your staff DBS checked?

All staff that work for Mascots Come to Play Parties are DBS checked.

Does it matter if I have a wide

age range of children at my party?

We mainly cater for parties for kids from 1 – 12 but we can also cater for kids of all ages. In cases like this we’ll design the parties specifically so that there is something in there for everyone.

How do I know what

type of party to go for?

If you’re not too sure what party to go for, the best thing to do would be to find out if your son or daughter has a preference. Alternatively feel free to discuss it with us and we can advise you of our services. We know what children enjoy so no matter which one of our parties you choose, you can be sure they will have a good time.

Is there a break in your

parties for food and drink?

Our one hour parties go right the way through without a break. For our two hour parties we do include a break. We can adapt the show to suit your schedule but we tend to suggest a 45 minute first half, followed by a half hour break for the kids to have food and drink, then a 45 minute second half.


During the break your entertainer will be making balloons for the children so they each have one to go home with at the end of the party) This is not a set format though, so we can always work around what you prefer.

What does a Manned Mascots

do at a party & do they need a break?

A Manned mascot can either do a half hour slot or a 1 hour slot. In this time the mascots can meet & greet the kids, pose for photos, interact with party game, dance with the kids, bring the birthday cake out and give party bags out. Mascots will work right through for ½ hour slots, but may need a 5 minute break half way in for hour slots.

What is a Soft Play Party?

Our lovely soft play Hire is great for small children & Toddlers under 5. Our soft play can be set up in your own home, a safe outside area or in a hall. Our Soft Play is combination of, different Fun shapes.

What size hall do I

need for the Soft Play Hire?

You will need a 14 by 14 foot area and there need to easy access to the hall to where the soft play will be set up. Also please make sure  there is suitable access into the hall, as we  reserve the right to turn down Setting up for a party if access is difficult.


Also if your party is not on the ground floor, and we have to use the left and there lots of stairs  this could also prevent us from setting up the soft play for the event so  please let us know the access at the time of booking.

Do you have a minimum or

maximum number of children at a party?

No. But the price does increase if you go above 35 kids  and we suggest you book another entertainer.

What kind of prizes do

you give out to the children?

Prizes vary depending on what we have on the day, but they generally include water pistols, medals, stickers, fun glasses, wall crawlers, bouncy balls, crayons, etc…

Do your entertainers dress up?

Yes they do, unless you request otherwise. Costumes vary depending on the party you go for. Typically most of our entertainer/ wear fun bright colours like red, blue and yellow costume.


Themed parties obviously have the entertainer dressed up as a character from that theme. If you would prefer not to have a costume we are happy to accommodate this too.

How far in advance should I book?

Our parties are very popular and operate on a first come first serve basis, so it’s best to book as soon as possible. We can only confirm a booking on receipt of a deposit.

How do I book?

All bookings can be done by telephone or on our website. Simply give us a call or email us to call you at a convenient time and we’ll take down a few details about the party. We do ask for a small deposit to secure the booking but then the rest is paid to your entertainer or a staff member on the day in cash.


You will get a confirmation from us within 24 – 48 hours to say that everything is booked in and your entertainer will arrive in  plenty of time to set up.

How do I pay?

All deposits can be paid on line or over the phone by credit or debit card. If booking quite far in advance we can accept cheques, bank transfers and postal orders made payable to Mascots Come to Play Parties’.


The remaining balance is paid to your entertainer or staff member in cash on the day. Please check availability of the day of your events before booking online this can be done by email.

What happens once

I’ve booked the party?

Just relax. That’s it. We will send you a confirmation of your party & receipt by email. Your entertainer will turn up 15 -30 minutes before the due starting time in order to set up. (Set up time varies depending on the type of party you go for) So all you need to do is relax and enjoy your event.

What time will my entertainer

or staff member arrive?

Set up time varies depending on the type of party you go for. Your entertainer will arrive between 15-30 minutes before the start time to greet you and to set up. If you are hiring our soft play we will need an hour to set up and a hour to clear away.

How many entertainers come to the party?

Unless you specifically request an additional entertainer or Mascot there will be one person.

Do you have a backup

entertainer in case my entertainer is ill?

Yes we do.

Do you bring your own

music for mascot?

No this will need to be  provided by the person that’s organising the event.

If I want to make a complaint?

If for what ever reason you are not happy with your party please see our terms and conditions and how to make a complain.  We ask for all complaints to be put in writing and sent to us via email or letter Within seven days of your party.

What is your cancellation policy?

All deposits are non-refundable, unfortunately  but if you need to cancel your party for another day, We will be happy to reschedul your  party and transfer your deposit to this day this only applies if the  party is cancelled within seven days.  Please see our terms and conditions for more information about this .
